Aces First Half Report Card: Forwards, Part 1

Through 22 games this season, the Brooklyn Aces have gotten some remarkable seasons out of their forwards. However, in spite of their phenomenal play, there is always room for improvement.

Breaking down the play of the team’s forwards, Aces Over Brooklyn dissects each player’s play this season and predicts what the next half of the season holds for them.

Mike Thomson- Starting off the season as one of the team’s most dangerous forwards, Thomson spent the first dozen or so games with B.J. Kuper and Chad Wilcox on the team’s checking line. It was there he was averaging a point a game and extremely effective. Injuries to the team’s defense forced him to the blue line, where he was solid, but in the process, not as effective offensively as before. With James Brannigan’s call up to Utah however, expect an expanded role for Thomson.
