Aces, Bears Pregame Thoughts

In their last encounter, the Brooklyn Aces ravaged the Hudson Valley Bears 11-2, washing away the after-taste of a 6-5 loss to the Danbury Mad Hatters the night before.

Adding 24-year-old Josh Coyle to the roster a few days ago, the Aces will also have even more firepower in an already intimidating lineup.

This is not good news for the Hudson Valley Bears, a team that has been searching for a winning formula all season to no avail.

Things may be on the mend for the Bears however, as Len DiCostanzo was returned from Bridgeport a week ago and should be back in net. In spite of a decrepit 6.94 GAA in five games this season, DiCostanzo holds a .891 save percentage, proving his 0-5 record has more to do with his lack of defensive support than his own ability to stop the puck. If the Hudson Valley defense shows up to play and supports their goaltender, this will be a great game to watch.
