According to a press release by the EPHL, the Brooklyn Aces have signed forwards Eddie Chlanda and Derek Kern and defenseman Chris Robinson.
In addition, they placed team captain Chad Wilcox, who is suffering from an injured knee, on injured reserve.
In six games in the SPHL this season with the Twin City Cyclones, Chlanda has four points. In two seasons at Curry college, the 26-year-old scored 69 points in 54 games.
Kern saw his last action in 2004-05 with the Kansas City Outlaws of the UHL, where he scored seven goals and added 12 helpers in 71 games.
Robinson, who is an instructor at the youth hockey clinic at Aviator, also has been out of action for a few years, spending his last season with the Lincoln Stars of the USHL in 2004-05, where he scored two points and had 146 PIM in 46 games.
All three will be in the lineup tonight, which will also mark Robinson’s pro debut.
Aces Over Brooklyn has also learned that Long Island-native and NHL star Chris Higgins of the Montreal Canadiens will be on hand to drop the ceremonial first puck.
