Fresh off their second loss in a row last night, the Brooklyn Aces won’t have any time to sulk, especially with the second place New Jersey Rockhoppers in town tonight.
Armed with plenty of scoring ability and the uber-dependable Nick Niedert in net, the Aces know things won’t be easy against their New Jersey neighbors.
Relatively injury free all season, the Rockhoppers have gotten better with every game this season and will provide Brooklyn with a more than tough test tonight.
Battling injuries for over a month, Brooklyn has had a cast of players brought in to help keep the ship sailing at top speed. While the new additions have all been moderately succesful, the team hasn’t had the same type of chemistry they had earlier in the season. At 24-4-2-1, it would be crazy to think the team was in jeopardy of losing their spot in the playoffs [They'd have to suffer a fate worse than the 2007 Mets for that to happen.]. Nevertheless, their play as of late hasn’t been inspiring.
